Transportation to and from the airport

The Namaste' Retreat & Conference Center at Living Enrichment Center is 30 miles south of Portland International Airport, approximately 45 minutes). You may either arrange for a rental car or contact one of the following shuttle services:

There are many shuttle services in the Portland area, this is a short list Prices range from $40/ first person to $10/person for 3 or more. Please prearrange service before arriving at the airport.

Guest Overnight Registration

We will have a Registration Table for your guests located just inside the main doors of the center. It is suggested you arrange to have one of your staff at this desk. The Namaste' sales/event coordinator will help you and your staff settle in and support you in the registration process.

Check begins at 3:00PM on the date of your arrival. Pick up room keys and site information at the Registration Table.

Late arrival begins after 6:00PM. You will find registration instructions, room keys and site information in the Registration area. Look for instructions just inside the main doors.

Arrivals after 10:00PM. Our main doors are locked after 10:00PM. If you will be arriving after this time, please contact the event coordinator in advance at 1-800-893-1000 or (503) 682-5683, or email: namaste@lecworld.org, to receive special instructions.

Check out is at 9:00AM on the day of your departure. Remove all personal items from your rooms and place keys in the return basket, located in your main meeting room. Luggage storage for late departure can be arranged.

Accomodations

Each cabin has four private rooms accommodating single or double occupancy. The four rooms adjoin to a small hallway which leads to a large bathroom shared by the four rooms. We have extra long, twin bunk beds, including wood frames and top quality mattresses. Rooms are furnished with linens, blankets, pillows and a set of bath towels.

No smoking or open flames in the cabins. Any smoking, burning of incense, candles, or cooking will set off the automatic fire alarm system in the rooms.

LECafe Dining

LECafe is open according to your arrangements. Meals are made with fresh ingredients and cooked to order. Select Chef's Choice, or let us help you customize a special meal. Vegetarian meals or special dietary requirements can be prepared upon request. Our sales/event team is here to meet your needs. Just ask!

Namaste Lodge

The Namaste Lodge is open 24 hours a day to everyone attending a retreat. Please make it your home away from home during your stay.

Amenities in the lodge include:

Storage room for luggage, to accommodate our early checkouts

Indoor Swimming Pool

Our retreat guests are welcome to swim in our indoor fitness swimming pool during the hours of 6am to 9am and 5pm to 10pm. For a nominal fee, you can participate in our scheduled water aerobic classes. After you have arrived, please ask your event coordinator or call extension 289 for times and costs.

Please bring your own towel for swimming.

What to wear and bring

We suggest you wear layered casual clothing for your event, with comfortable shoes to walk our beautiful grounds. The average temperature is 80 degrees in July and 34 degrees in January. we recommend you bring:

Living Bookends Bookstore

Our bookstore and gift shop offers over three thousand book titles, an international collection of tapes and CDs, artistically designed jewelry, magazines, greeting cards and sundries in case you forget to bring the essentials.

General Information

The main building is open from 6am to 10pm except for the entrance facing the Lodge, which is open until 12 midnight.

The Center is a smoke free facility including the cabins. There are designated outdoor smoking areas located around the grounds. Please use the ashtray cans provided for cigarette trash.

Roads around the property are closed at midnight. We ask that any unregistered guests leave the property at this time.

Our Center provides a natural environment for your enjoyment. Pay particular attention to our wildflowers and flora and fauna. Occasionally, you will see deer and other wild inhabitants that are harmless to our guests. Maps of the walking trails are provided in your welcome packet.

At the Center, we have a no pet policy. Please make arrangements for your pets to stay at home.

Please give the following telephone numbers to your family to use in case of an emergency. The main reception number is 503-682-5683 or 1-800-893-1000, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. After hours, the emergency pager number is 503-204-1164. Instruct your family to use the emergency pager number only in an emergency.
